Belt driven AC pump

Hi all,
If you happen to have lots of dud AC pumps and no working one, you can make the pump part work again by removing the motor casing and using the rotor as a pulley.

Then your belt pulley fitted Fordson Major Diesel will do the rest! Bleeding will be difficult, and you'll need a non-return valve and filter at the bottom of the inlet pipe.

A solid base is of course essential.

Brillant creativiteit. Like it. But please leave children away.

Quite right about that, I'm actually the "child" not so child now!
We were getting very good flow (better than any of the working electric pumps) only idling. We tried higher revs but the belt would then come off.
By the way, this pump fell in here. You can see it as it came from there! (bottom left)

Forgive my ignorance. AC Pump? Obviously not air conditioning?

Single phase alternating current centrifugal pump, with four pumping elements.
The electrics were ruined by the fall and then by sitting outside for 12 years. We never tested them as it gave us the excuse to use the belt pulley.
