Fuel injector pipes

Post by leeroy »

During bleeding the end fell off the pipe. Closest auto parts store did not have correct size ferrule.
Can these be repaired, and if so what should I be looking for?
This is for the injector pump to injector on the rear most cylinder, what is # 3 if I was to order a new pipe, correct?
Also the seals for the injectors- wire ring side to inside or outside of head? I put it towards the outside but wonder if this caused the pipes nipple end to get compromised on tightening.

The injector rubbers are smooth on the outside.

Fitting a new end to an injector pipe is a job for a diesel specialist. They should be able to make a complete pipe if necessary, but check price against other replacements before committing yourself.

Billy/ Sandy,
Thanks for taking the time to post the picture. Not sure how I missed it but it would have saved me from ordering the wrong pipe! At least I have a spare #3 pipe now.
