Does anyone know whether there are any surviving lists of Fordson dealers? I'm trying to find a dealer in Chelmsford Essex in 1961. Thanks.

I believe Boreham house was owned by ford and used as a training centre for fordson dealers and mechanics. Not really a dealership i know, but a link with chelmsford and fordson!

got a file on my computer, that i have downloaded from the internet a while ago. ( with fordson tractor dealers )

Looks like, there was a fordson tractor dealer in Chelmsford called : Donald Denoon (Motors) Ltd 1 Rainsford Road, Chelmsford, Essex ( no idea if this was the dealer in 1961 )

Hi I'm trying to find a Donald denoon dealer plate, I've got a picture of one. I'm pretty sure my 1964 super major was supplied by them. The other dealers in that area were Does and Colchester tractors who were I think connected.

Hi,

Does Purchased Colchester Tractors and Colchester Tillage however I believe at that time both Colchester Tillage and Tractors were running under there own steam.

Of course there was a lot of smaller dealers back in the 60s unlike nowadays where dealers like Ernest Doe Cover 5-6 Counties!
