Battery, generator and polarisation

Post by Rijono »

Hi,
So I have just finished a small restoration of my Fordson Major Diesel 1953 and have replaced the battery, starter, wiring loom, generator, voltage regulator, etc.

Can you advise me please if I have to flash the voltage regulator. If so can someone please tell me the process.

I have just fitted headlights so need to know I’m replacing what is being consumed by the lamps.

Thank you

The headlights are 35W each in theory. You will have to polarise the dynamo, remember it's a positive earth system.
