So I have received a set of new headlights for my 1962 Super Major but having trouble getting them to work. It is positive earth tractor and I have fitted a new wiring loom. If I turn on the headlights at the main switch I confirm I get 12v on the Black/Green(I have 2 headlight wires in the loom(Red/Black and Green/Black). The new headlights have a Red, Black and a White wires but no matter what combination I connect them up in I don't seem to be able to get the lights to work. Any ideas.
Also what size are the push in grease nipples as I need to replace some and what is the best way to remove them.

Thanks

To remove the grease nipples hammer them latterally, Old 20 have replacements
Follow the wires to the bulb and see which one is for dipped headlights, which one for full headlights, and which is earth (both filaments attach to earth), The earth wire needs attatching to the front cowling bonnet catch bolts to complete the circuit. Use incandescent bulbs for this to avoid confusion.
