Hi,

According to my info the serial no fits to a tractor in the December 1960, January 1961 timeframe.

Is the serial no. in the log book the same as the tractors serial no? And is tje engine no the same as on the data plate?

You should find the engine no stamped onna flange on the top right front of the engine block. Below no 1 injector.

It is not impossible to find tractors repaired with donor parts so sometimes it takes some investigating to find out what it’s real identity is.

Best regards

December 1960 number on the ID plate, but look on the block and at casting codes, the ID plate was discontinued when the Power Major appeared, replaced by a Ford patent plate (pic available if needed). Casting codes will give you a better idea of the age. You might have an early engine with the serial number on the flange behind the starter, if you have an Ebro engine you'll see an engine number under injector no. 4 too. Look at all these and post pics so we can see what you have.
