Baling with '55 FMD
As long as the baler has a working over running clutch I should not need an over running clutch on the tractors PTO, correct?

Hi,
IMHO one overrun clutch is enough.
Please make sure your pto is in perfect condition. I once had an shaft going defect while baking on our 5610. The parts came really close to the rear window. That would have been problematic on a major.
Please do not over rev your engine. Around 1150 rpm you have your 540 pto speed.

Thank you both.
Emiel thanks for mentioning the pto shaft condition as I've never given that a thought. It is in good condition with good universal joints, but I'll be sure to check them all.
