Whats this extra bit for?

Post by Kiwi Kev »

Guys
I've been surfing, and found this parts tractor, and noticed the LHS rear linkage lift arm with the extra arm to it.
I vagualy remember this being mentioned in a previous topic before, but cant remember the anwser.
Was it for a front mounted blade or mid mount cultivator or something. Should there be a LHS and a RHS pair.
I vagualy remember Henk(?) has one on his tractor

The part that I was more interested in was the extra quadrant lever for the hydraulic's.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that was for using a tipping trailor or front end loader without having to lock the lift arms in the fully up position.

Look forward to your replies.

I think I have seen this set up before on a loader tractor. My 1960 Power Major has a second valve that looks a little different in the same place that works a double acting cylinder. Does that hunk have a Horn attached? I'm looking for the correct horn for my FPM. Dandy Dave!

Can't see a horn, but even if it did, it's probably not the right one as it's an early petrol model.

Is that tractor on your island, Kev, or did you find it while surfing the net?

Yes I did find it while surfing the net, not the waves.
I bought both hydraulic lever assemblies for $50NZ which equals about 20 GB pounds I think.
Bit of a bargin I think. I've seen some on UK Ebay go for 223 GB pounds, and that was just the extra single lever assembly.
