Hi,
Is anyone out there that can advise on how the power major sidelight wiring is routed and secured from the bullet connector behind the dash to the rear wings. My wings have been replaced and are not original as are the sidelights.
The vulnerable area is were the wire crosses over the gearbox and up under the wings. My ford 4000 has a steel tube protecting the electrical wire and I wonder if I need the same.
thanks
Power Major sidelight wiring and routing
Re: Power Major sidelight wiring and routing
The wires are in special conduits made of rubber wrapped wire coil, the connection in the dash powers a wire going round the RH side of the top cover to the rear light. From there separate wires go round the top cover, bull pinion and brake cover then into the mudguard front box and up to the side light, if you also want twin rear lights each one is powered from the sidelight; all this on each side. Don't have a pic of the twin rear lights but here's Billy for the rest (note the rear light is not in the original location).

can't find a pic of this with the mudguard fitted

It's all well protected, the cover over the front of the top cover is not original, here's Super Billy showing a more original setup, although I really like Billy's cover.
