Solenoid part numbers
Solenoid part numbers
Hi all,
Been looking around but can't find the Lucas part no. of the later type solenoid (E1ADDN-11450C), the earlier one (E1ADDN-11450B) was a ST950, 76411. Could only find this post of Barry M's about such details. https://www.fordsontractorpages.nl/phpb ... 050#p12050 The change occurred in early September 61 (957E-89261, 1612882), the later kind is a 2ST. If anyone still has a true original fitted I would like to know its part no.. I know of a few 2ST part nos., but they come with extra spade terminals not used on Fordson's.

Re: Solenoid part numbers
Hi
I have uploaded some photos of a solenoid, see link https://postimg.cc/gallery/VJzrbfD
Would this be the one you are looking for?
It was installed on a 63 model
The rest of the tractor is quite original, I belive, so maybe the solenoid also is

Re: Solenoid part numbers
Thank you very much, that's just what I wanted! You even have the cover, E1ADDN-14693, a very rare part, but nonetheless important. I see the button was covered with a steel cover, presumably to prevent people using it when the solenoid or starter switch or associated wiring failed. Unfortunately, the one thing I can't read is the Lucas part no., presumably starts with 76xxx, it should also have LUCAS 2ST stamped on there as well as a date reasonably in line with the casting codes on that tractor.

Re: Solenoid part numbers
I made a closer look at the solenoid, and took a few more pictures, see the link again.
It seems to me the number is 76491E 12, but cant find Lucas written anywhere

Hi All
I can confirm ,that exact this Solenoid was fitted to my Super Major (1617909) that i restored in 2003/2004.The Tractor was very close to original, the electric and wirering too.

Re: Solenoid part numbers
Thanks very much both, this seems like it'll be a hard one to find exact replacements of. I'm afraid I can't see the extra pics.

Re: Solenoid part numbers
Excellent, thanks very much. I belive the LUCAS 2ST and date is nearby, a bit like this one: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/12MAAOSw ... l1600.webp
And some older ones for extra reference, these are Lucas 76411: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/xGsAAOSw ... l1600.webp https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/VmIAAOSw ... l1600.webp

Re: Solenoid part numbers
Excellent, thanks very much, and confirms it's probably original If yours is around that time. Am I right in thinking you have some service letters? If so send them to Henk, so he can put them on the FFCN. I'll be getting there soon with some of the stuff I've got here. I'll send you a PM if you need it too.
