I'm looking at aquiring another major as a parts tractor, but may also look at getting it going if possible.
It has a transmission parking brake which appears to be seized or stuck.
Anything I should lookout for.
How do's the brake work. Brake bands or something else.

I had a similar problem with the transmission brake on my Super Major.Take off the inspection cover next to the handbrake and you will see 12 small clutch like plates held by 2 pins. The pins on mine had broken and i had to split the tractor to replace them. When they broke the plates had spun round and jammed the gearbox. If your pins are ok try and take the split pin out and loosen back the adjuster but not too far or the plates will fall into the bottom of the gearbox and you WILL have to split the tractor.
