fordson super major engine

have just been reading a post about replacement engines for fordsons and was wondering if my super major has one the engine is painted red with an s in the serial no and the injector pump has a big cast thing on the back of the pump something i have not seen on another super major does anyone know what it does?i guess it might be a governor

It may well be the old style, industrial, mechanical governor that was used on some applications or it might be the vacuum pump for the brakes on a truck engine. A picture would help.
