Hi ya folks as per recomendations here is first of many pics.
I picked this up about 350km from home under the advise from the seller it should not be more than a ton. nice one buddy!!! any how with much sweet and panic we got it loaded and I ran the risk of dying or being fined on the way home. Don't know if it was the redbull or terror that made me sweat the most but home safe and sound.


This is my new/old girl and the wife loves it. (she hasn't seen it yet Very Happy any how i hope to pick your brains if possible over the term of this little project and would love to hear from you fordies.




She blows a lot of smoke through the oil breather but the bucket works well.
that being said I am going to tackle the hydraulic lifter first as it seems to either be all the way up or down, no in between and i have some slashing to do.

I pull out the small knob on the right side under the seat and using the quad lever can lift the draw bar. If i leave it up with the knob out it does bobb a bit. but when i push the knob back in it stays up no prob. any ideas?
As i said there appears to be no in between if it is half way up will drop straight back down.

I am going back to farm in a couple of days to have a bit of a better look so any ideas on some trouble shooting would be great?

I am also interested in parts suppliers this side of the equator (south)anyone have a good idea I would much appreciate.

Welcome to the board.

Breathing from the engine breather indicates a worn engine. These engine can be terminally damaged if ether has been used to start them in cold weather. You may need a complete engine overhaul at some point.

The "bobbing" of the lift is normal. There is a cut off valve inside the lift that works on the linkage when the lift is fully raised. When this is working it could cause your problem. When you pull the knob out it isolates this part of the lift. If it stays up then you have no leaks.

On the side of the lift is a little lever. It has two positions, pointing down or pointing forward. Pointing down is draft control which is used for ploughs, cultivators and all soil engaging implements. There is no real neutral point and the lift will either be up or down.

If the lever is pointing forwards, that is position control. The lift will follow your movements of the quadrant lever. If you raise or lower the quadrant lever, the lift arms should follow the movement. This is for implements above the ground such as your brush cutter.

It is also possible that your lift linkage is worn and you may need to remove it and do some fairly minor repairs.

These problems are well documented on here so do a search and see what comes up. There is also an operators handbook on here that is accessed from the main page.

Hi "greendoglive" Just where south of the equator are you as there is nothing in your post to say where your from? Looks like somewhere in Australia? Your front end loader looks interesting, any chance of some more photos, of the bucket and the loader brackets.Has your tractor got a front mounted pump. Cheers TSG.

I am in Nannup southwest WA . In regards toi the bucket I will get some pics on here in a couple days Chrissy has thrown to many jobs in the air at the momenet. i can tell yoiu the bucket run of the ancilary the little knob under the seat with a return line into the rear diff. Takes a minute or two to preassure up but seems powerfull enough. Just very hard to use will driving but am sure will get used to it.

as requested here are some pics of the front end loader bucket and set up . the hydraulics run of the ancilary and the return goes to the rear diff.
The lifting rams are single action the weight forces oil back out and the crowd(bucket tipp is double action)
