Tyres

Post by niallsdexta »

Hi All,

This has probably been asked already on here but I have a 62 Super Dexta, can anyone tell me the correct tyres to fit on this model, also it is mainly for play and to go on tractor runs, I do not possess a plough and I have no intention on ploughing so do I need radial or Cross ply?
Also for road runs and the likes what sort of PSI should I have in there?

Thanks for the help.
Niall

Hi,
My 1960 standard dexta has 10x24 I think.
I noticed in the 'Dexta oil' thread there is an oil spec sheet..... but it also shows the tyre pressures as 12 PSI rear and 34 for the front.

dexta rims are 28 inch,
tyres listed in the manual are:
11x28
10x28
13x28
12x28 (export only)

Err... yes. Mine must be 10x28. 24" rims would be small.

12-4-28 ithink would do you , book says 12 psi but around between 15 an 18
when on road ithink ,12 would be for feild work , 20 to 24 front possible , if tractor is to bouncy on road then
reduce this to suit. Gerry
