This was my father's Tractor, I do not have any information on it and I've searched for serial numbers on the tractor. I will get some numbers off of it to put on the forum. Take a look at the photos and see what you think. I am also looking to sell it as well, any ideas of what it's worth?

Fordson Major Diesel between 1954 and 1957 I would suspect.

Hmm,
I think its a Power Major without a dash fitted. Flat tank and long steering column makes me think that.

Looks like it has an upright pump and no breather on the timing cover Emiel

Hello Brian,
You're right I think. On photobucket you can enlarge the picture. The pump is upright and the throttle control runs through the block and not around the block as on MKII engines.

On the nearside we also see the hole for the radiator shutter handle in the tank support. And a customized exhaust pipe.
The fuel tank and steering column are changed sometimes it seems.

Re: Identify This Fordson
This is quite tricky; the tractor has 38" rear rims but they are of different designs.
I f you're going to look closely at the 1st picture, the rim has the sort of "extra step" into it, while the 2nd picture which shows the other side the other rim had a different design. My question is: which one is correct, the "stepped" one on the 1st pic , the "non-stepped" one on the 2nd pic, or both were used by fordson?
