Hi again. I would like to buy some paint for my NP Dexta. I know this has been discussed before, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer.
I would like to buy from a reputable supplier (eg Tractol paints) but I'm having trouble getting what I think is the correct colour.
There are lots of beautifully repainted NP Dextas around that look fantastic. I've searched for New Performance blue, and imperial blue, to no avail. These seem to be the ones people have mentioned, but I can't find them.
My thums hurt and I've gone cross-eyed looking online, but nobody can give my a definite answer. I've tried two different paint sellers near me South Wales UK. And they couldn't find a colour that was a good Match with my original paintwork. (From underneath the battery box ).
Could one of you please point me in the right direction, IE the name or paint code of a readily available suitable enamel paint that wouldn't look out of place in a line up of other NP Dextas.

Empire blue is not suitable for NP tractors. NP blue is similar but lighter. I was hoping to have some colour matched for Super Billy but then discovered that the place couldn't do that. They did have a similar looking colour which we got then I added white myself to and got a fantastic match. Pics a bit later. If you can find a place that can do colour matching then great but if not this is no bad idea, I have a sort of code for what we got but not sure if aplicable elsewhere. Not as good as I'd hoped but can take more tomorrow if needed.
Not applicable to your Dexta but we got some pots of Agriline Empire blue in 2011 that match both Billy and Davie perfectly. Not sure if it's still true but the shades did vary slightly anyway so not a clear cut case unless you fine tune it yourself.
