Hello everybody
Is there a proper top link for the dexta or is a case of any that fit for what ever you have on it all implements are different
Top links
Re: Top links
There are three, the early one is 957E-576 (there was also 957E-576B, not sure what changed here), from March 60 the parts were lengthened by 4", making 957E-576C. From November 62 960E-576 was added for Super Dexta's with dual category linkage, many parts of this one come from the Major.

Re: Top links
Hi Sandy, probably a couple daft questions...
As most 3 point impliments start with the A frame close to vertical before adjusting in use, were the extra 4" added to give more adjustment range or were the lower links extended at the same time?
Was the dual cat link the one with the 2 sizes bored through the one ball?
Rob.

Re: Top links
The extra 4" are purely for greater strength, although the adjustable range did change from a minimum of 23" to 22", the maximum remained at 27". The lower links weren't changed at any stage, the dual category ones came in at the same time as the top link did. The setup for them is much like the Super Major, with alternative lower link balls (E1ADDN-995233 cat 1 and E27N-995233 cat 2) that can be swapped by opening a retaining clip E1ADDN-995242, and separate alternative top link ends (960E-995267 cat 1 and E144-QF-9 cat 2). I'll get a pic tomorrow of the very similar Super Major top link ends.
