Leak off from the injectors.

Hi I have a 1961 Dexta and there doesn’t appear to be any diesel coming from the leak off ports on top of the injector. I have run the engine with the return pipe removed and there is nothing coming from the injector. The engine itself runs fine with no smoke or misfiring. Has anyone else had this problem. Cheers. That sounds like very good injectors to me. There will be a bit of leak-off but the less the better (usually as little as a couple of drops per hour). It's not leaking from the injector cap nut copper washer. Make sure there isn't any leaking there or it won't reach the leak-off line. There should be diesel around in there for lubrication, but it doesn't need much.

Ok. Thanks for your help. No there’s no leaks anywhere and there is a very small build up with the return pipe removed so all sounds good on your advice. Thanks. Pete (Teddie)
