Fuel Lift Pump Dexta
I need a repair kit or a rebuilt fuel lift pump for my 1961 Dexta. NAPA wants $75 for a pump not in stock; Ford/NewHolland wants $161 for a pump and $80 for a kit not in stock. Hopefully there is a better source for this with a more reasonable price; any suggestions??? btw, I'm in North Carolina USA as folks around the world have Dexta's. THANKS brownsmule

Hi Brownsmule,that's insane.
I pay 18 euros for a rebuild kit,some 20 dollars.
A complete pump would be around 40 euros.
Now shipping a complete pump to the USA could be pretty expensive,my brother in law in Florida once sent me some parts and that set me back 50 dollars.
But if the pump is not too bad, that is if the lever in the bottom end is still ok,then you may only need some little thingies, which i could put in an envelope and send to you for only a few bucks.
The alternative would be that i bring a complete pump when i visit Miami and ship it from there.
But then you'd have to wait till mid december.
Let me know and we'll work it out.
Greetings from the Netherlands.
Rob.

Brownsmule,
I haven't chewed any Brown's Mule in over 40 years! Do they still sell it?
I needed an exhaust part and JC recommended BARE-Co. I just looked and they offer both the pump and a kit for the Dexta or Super Dexta. They do not sell directly to the public. You have to email them and they will send you the price and the name of a dealer who will supply the part. Mine came from Sierra Tractor in California, buy hey, I got what I needed at a fair price. Here is the link:

Lift Pump Dexta
Thank You Thank You Thank You
Ordered a Pump and also a Pump Kit from Bare-co this morning (in stock btw) Pump was $29 USD and Kit was $12 USD plus shipping.
This is certainly a great savings over NAPA and Ford/NewHolland.
PS: I checked and Browns Mule chewing tobacco is still available on the internet $48 USD for 15 cuts.
Thanks again for the advice; brownsmule in North Carolina USA
