I recently bought a Fordson Dexta Diesel (957E). I am wanting to change the fluids in it. Can anyone tell me what would be best for the hot Alabama climate.? I read the wokshop manuals from this website and it says 30wt in the engine and gearbox but I can't find anything for the hydraulics. I also have heard to use the same oil in the hydraulics and gearbox because the seals will let oil through on both sides. Can someone knowlegable please give me some info. What oil weight in which reservior, (dertergent or non-detergent), etc. Thanks for your help. :?:

30W oil all through or Multipurpose oil. Dextas do not leak oil through between compartments as a rule.

You need to use a Diesel engine oil not a straight 30W in the engine if it is a diesel.
