I picked up a new fuel filter WIX 33194 a fews days ago and went to change it last evening. It is the right diameter but about an inch shorter than the one installed. Went to NH and several other dealers this morning and all had the same size filter.

What filter do I need?

If my mind serves me correctly there should be a spring in the bottom of the fuel filter cup together with a washer. Did you maybe omit to put it back under the filter. Can you please measure the height of the filter so we can compare what we have?

For my 59 Dexta I used Fram cartridge C 11846 PL
Height is 3,29 inch
