Anyone know of a supplier of a new good quality front oval badge.

I bought one the other day, but was not impressed with it.

Ideally I want an ally one same as my original.

Oh, and what colour should it be? all single colour or background different colour?

npaisnel,

Why not get a plain one and colour it yourself that's what I did. Got a good quality one from ebay. There is only one colour and that's orange. The whole background and hand should be orange, the wheatshief should be kept plain.

Thanks for the colour tip.

Done a search on ebay just now, cant see anyone advertising badges at the moment, .

I have seen some badges that are thick cast items, and not the original pressed types.

Was hoping to get a pressed one, but of better quality than the one I bought.

Do you have a lnk from the seller you bought yours from

npaisnel,

As you say there is nothing on ebay at the moment, I do not have any details for the seller that I bought my badge from unfortunately.

However, look at www.old20.co they have them for £17.63 a bit expensive. www.dunloptractorspares.co.uk have them for £11.06 which is a more realistic price, I have bought quite a few things from Bertie Dunlop and found them very good.

Hope this helps.

Barry

npaisnel,

I left one symbol out of the old 20 website address. Try this www.old20.com/

Thanks

I got mine from http://www.forge-services.co.uk/

He does three types, a steel one, a chromed steel one and a cast cromed one that is much thicker.

The cast one is also around £17, the others being about 12.

I wonder if that is why the difference in price with the other comapnies also..

As I said at the start of this thread, I did not like the quality of the chromed steel one, but the cast one look much better. Peter from Forge services has since sent me a picture.

npaisnel,

I also have a cast front badge for my Major, although very good quality it does not seem original unless the tractor has a very good paint job to match, mine has not as It's still in original condition and therefore the badge is still in the drawer and I managed to get a second hand original badge which really looks better.
