Hello David,
Do you know whether this is a spanish engine or the "standard Perkins" conversion pack engine? The latter is the most likely with this Simms pump fitted I suppose.
The tractor is a 8N I think, with both brakes on the right hand side and the footplates fitted.
Thanks for the photo's.
Best regards
Emiel

Can anyone else see this pictures? All I can see is, "This image or video has been moved or deleted."
I've never seen a 8n or 9n with a diesel motor in it round my parts of the world.

Hi Mark,
I've never seen a diesel 8N, either. I don't think that many were converted (in the US, anyway).
David's pictures always seem to disappear shortly after he posts them. I saw another picture of a diesel 8N a few days ago. I think it was on Yesterday's Tractors.

Hey JC, if a person had an extra perkins sitting around that would be an interesting project, don't you think?

That would be a fun project, Mark. I also liked the flathead V-8 Funk conversion. Most people around here can't tell the difference between a 9N, 2N, 8N, or NAA, so you could probably paint a Dexta red and gray, and everyone would think you had a diesel 8N.

I agree with you there JC, when people ask me what kind of tractor I have, they hear the Ford part, but when they hear the Fordson Dexta, they are really confused. So you're absolutely right.
