And the Boss has just hidden all the cheque books and credit cards!!

These tractors were in a batch bought from New Zealand. Will get pictures and numbers next time I visit.

It could be a toss up between one of these and Winterswijk Henk!

The old sock was sadly depleted when I filled up Rover this afternoon. That cost me £98.00. One of the problems of working for yourself is that you cannot pass these increases on as unit prices were set last year and no one expected such rises in costs. Still I got an order for another 60 units today. That might help the "Dexta Fund" :D

a) Winterswijk will still be here next year.
b) Those petrols will not.

So get it while it's hot :).

No. Oscar is waiting for his County 1454.

They came with a group of tractors, Ford 5000s and 7000s. All are beautiful tractors and hardly worn at all. As I said yesterday, I will try and get some pictures later today.

 Hey, who is nicking my Dextas and sending them back to the mother country? I bought mine and various other Fordson stuff from the NZ auction site, www.trademe.co.nz - there's quite a range there at present, anyone fancy a SuperDexta for a couple of hundy quid, I could stick a stamp on it and chuck it in the mail box!
you know it's a classic when people stop to watch.

little question for Brian

Post by Emiel »

Hello Brian,

You write they came with a group of tractors, like 5000s and a 7000s.

Where stands the S for in the designation? I never heard of a Ford with a S in its type designation. It makes me curious.
Best regards

Emiel

Emiel,

The 'S' just makes it plural (more than one).
If there was one 5000 it would be "5000"
If there is more than one 5000 then it is "5000s".

eg One tractor, many tractors.

Regards,
Mike

Mike,

You're right. I should have gone to bed earlier yesterday. I think this was my dumbest question ever. Shoud I delete it? ;)

Thanks for your reply.

Nah! I bet I will 'better that' anytime soon  - Mike
Best regards

I have nowhere to put it and no time to spend on it :( . That's why I sold Barry my previous Dexta.

Brian,
You never said that you didn't look for Ann's "sock." You might make a deal with her for a small loan. Then again look at it as an investment, you could resell one a little later on and make back your money. You will regret it, all we will hear is tears shed from our friend, or kerthump from the broom with Ann a hold of the wooden handle.

Problem is Mark that when they get here they never leave! And the last time I started looking in Ann's stocking draw I got a black eye and funny looks for months!
