It was cold this morning around -7 and its the first time the super dexta needed heat since the engine overhaul, it usually starts ok with pressing in the excess fuel button
What is the correct way to heat it, i gave it a couple of pumps to prime it, heated it ,then another pump, i didnt hear a pop.but it did start but still a bit sluggish
There is a loud pop on my friend fergie fitted with a p3, should the dexta do this?

I believe the correct proceedure is as follows.
1 pump of the primer.
Pre heat for 40 seconds.
While keeping the pre heat on crank the engine at part throttle until it starts.

Mine pops sometimes and I'm sure this is just the fuel ignighting in the manifold.

When I first got mine the air cleaner had too much oil in it so when it went pop it blew oil out the top and all over the bonnet, what a mess. Not a great first start.
