If installing a flywheel having only the 26 deg BTDC timing mark, lokate and stamp the 20 deg BTDC in a measurement at 2,7 inches from the TDC mark measured along the circumference of the flywheel. The total between TDC and the 26 deg mark is 3,52 inches, so maybe it is easier to measure 0.87 inches from the 26 deg mark.
Easy but maybe not through the inspection hole

I take it that the spill mark on standard dexta flywheel is 26 deg mark , i measure back from this 0.87 inches approx 23mm . this gives me spill 20 for new pump , that seems straight forward. Thanks for your reply dexta roadless . Gerry

May I ask why you want to revert to the earlier pneumatic governed fuel pump?
All the best,

Ah ha, I had it the wrong way round
You want to upgrade to the later mechanically governed fuel pump.
I wonder why you've had hunting problems with your pneumatic pump?
Let us know how it pans out.
Thanks,

Hi i just thought i would give an up date on the pump change over ,i fitted it in and timmed per the 22/ 23 mm above spill mark on old type flywheel . after alot of bleeding an messing about with the pipes , ihad to make new ones from lift pump to filter and from filter to injection pump also had to alter from tank to lift pump , ieventually got her to run , some minor leaks to sort yet but she is running sweet, ill have to get the throttle linkage sort out yet but a least the pump is good and and she running good an no more haunting  Gerry
