Good morning.

I am trying to remove the top cover (under the seat) on my dexta.
I believe that the bush that hold on the top link rocker sensing thingy needs to come out to release something inside, is this correct?

If yes how do you get it out? Mine is seized solid, and wont come out even when doused with penetrating oil and heat.

Any tips appreciated!

Regards,

Mark

AFAIK not necessary to remove the top link bracket.
I suggest you look at the workshop manual downloadable from Stefan's fordson-dexta.de site.
All the best,

i had to replace mine because the ends had snapped off. tried everything but had to cut the bush out with a hacksaw. the bush is hardened steel so takes alot of sawing.

Mark,

if you mean Bush E66-GF-9. This part holds the rocker on the Rear Axle.

This bush is very difficult to be removed : I can only recommend to cut the 2 sides off. Open the metal saw, bring the sawblade inside the hole and cut further in axis direction. This will make a split bush from it. Than the tension is off the bush and can be removed easier.

A new part is avialable at Sparex - partnumber S.66250

It has been suggested that I should weld inside the bush with an arc welder and then when the weld cools the bush should contract and then come out with some gentle persuasion. I will let you know the result soon...
