Ferrule supplier
Hi again,
I had a bit of an accident today with a fuel pipe, broke the end off.
Anyhow I've searched all afternoon on the interweb but can't find a ferrule maker.
Does anyone have a supplier I can buy some from. I have seen some on a website in the past but can't remember where.
Regards

Olives are avaliable through engineering and pneumatic suppliers. Common in industry. They are used in compression fittings. If what they have don't look right this is because there are two types available, one for nylon line and the other for copper. They have different profiles, but engineering suppliers should have, or be able to get both types.

These guys may not be in the UK but it does show what you are after and the fittings they are used in. Google compressions fittings.

Having seen the retail chains you have in the States there is no comparison, at least not in New Zealand. I don't know what it's like in the UK, but in little ol New Zealand the hardware store would not know what an olive was. Where I live in Nelson there are only 1 or 2 specialist engineering supplies that stock this sort of thing. Hardware stores seem to be going through a move to bigger chains but the staff are young, low paid, and very light on knowledge. I'm sure we all grew up with, and miss, the local store with a wall full of draws and and old shop keeper who had everything, and knew just which draw to look in.

woodseaves thats something, I am from the east coast of Ireland and they were of no problem, got them in the first motor factors I went into!
I hope other bits and oieces are easier for you to lay your hands on, nothing more annoying than to be stopped in your tracks by the simplest little things.
