Hi Guys,

Just a quick question for you, in an ideal world, for a 63 SD, should the nose cone be slopping backwards down to the bonnet, or should it be level to the bonnet?

I have seen both at shows and i was just wondering which is correct.

Also has anyone come up with a tidy way of preventing a 9 hole bar from rotating when towing a small car trailer, is this rotation a danger with a 50mm ball hitch fitted?

This is how I stopped mine from rotating:

My nose cone slopes back but I had always assumed it was due to front end damage after a life with a front loader.

Two questions one topic eh!
Well this is our trailer attachment, I think is now the Mark VI version, we did have a pin type on the rear at one point. The vertical bar goes on to the top link pin and stops the lifting and twisting motion how ever using the hydraulics is not recommended

Two bolts to undo to get the drawbar back.

It can be really dangerous to put a link between the ends of the lift arms and the top link!

Take it from one who made the mistake and wrecked the support "A" frame on a McConnel hedge cutter.

If the selector gets put in "Draft", the lift will rise and will not obey the control lever. Even with the lever at the bottom of the quadrant, it will still keep coming up.

That is why you always hitch implements in "Position Control".
