Auxiliary Services

Post by woodseaves »

Hi again

Should there be a gasket on the auxiliary services cover? Does anyone know where I can buy one? Is the 'Gasket in a tube ' any good in this situation?

I have a slight leak on this cover which is annoying any help appreciated.

Regards

New Holland dealer should be able to supply one. I would replace the "O" rings as well.

Instant gasket is not a good idea in that situation as any residue might jam things like the unload valve or control valve.

Hi Woodseaves,

Will you let me know if you manage to find a gasket for the services plate, i search everywhere and could not get one, had to use instant in end up and I am not really that happy about it, would prefer to use a gasket, All the places I tried kept giving me the top cover gasket
I don’t know what I am doing!

You can make your own. Get some gasket pape off ebay or your local factors.

I asked that question before as to what thickness paper to use and should the gasket only seal around the periphery of the plates there are alot of ports and a channnel in there!

Thanks Niall

Aux services control plate

Post by Bensdexta »

The Workshop Manual (Hydraulics) makes no mention of a gasket under the aux services plate, only O rings. Parts list is the same.

Was there a gasket fitted when you removed it? :scratchhead:

Perhaps one of the experts can clarify?

Brians reply above appears to suggest that there is one.

There is a gasket but sometimes it does not get replaced.

You could make one but you must use 0.015" gasket paper otherwise the "O" rings will not get trapped and will blow. The original paper used was a waxed type.
