Stabiliser Bars

Post by niallsdexta »

Hi All,

I am sorry this may have been asked before, but could someone please give me the length hole centre to hole centre of the straight stabiliser bars for a super dexta.

Also i see some of them have a bend in the ends and some don't. does anyone know which is correct for a 63 super dexta.

Thanks,
Niall

If my memory is right, a straight bar is correct, I think the cranked bars were for the 2-3000s, length can be checked by having a cat1 linkage drawbar on and measure when its centralized, hope this helps, if I can find a Dexta stabilizer I will post a pic.

Hi,

From as much as I can see from a couple of parts book drawings... the ends look straight.
But, there seems to have been an change from a round pipe type stabiliser bar to a flat iron bar sometime between 1959 and 1961 even though the parts numbers are identical (E133-WP-9).

Hi All,

Thanks for the info, but I would like to make myself a set of these bars so dimensions would be great if anyone has a set.

The dimesions I require are:
1. The size of flat bar used.
2. The distance between centres of the holes please.

Thanks for all the help,
Niall.
