Last time I was starting my Super Dexta the oil pressure lamp went out. I turned the key, it came on, and then it was all dark.
I have changed the bulb so thats not the problem. How is this connected and how do I go about finding the problem?

Tom,
As per the wiring diagram that I have, Your power to your light should be a black/blue wire coming from your heater switch and the ground for your light (purple ) is returned thru the oil pressure switch. Try grounding the purple wire that is attached to your oil pressure switch. if no light then your not receiving power to the light from your power source.

Re: Oil pressure lamp won't turn on
I receintly went through this on my Super... The lamp socket was worn to the point that the bottom of the lamp would not touch the contact in the base of the socket. It happened that the spring had worked its way above the contact . It appears that the spring needs to be below the contact to push it up against the base of the bulb. Both of my lamp sockets were in poor shape. I opted to replace them with a red and green lamp from Radio shack. They were a perfect fit, and being sealed and rated for 10,000 hours I am done with flickering and non working warning lamps. total cost of repair 3.00 dollars.....
