Is the nut that holds the pipe in place tight ? (But not to tight, you may run the threads!) Maybe you have put it on the wrong threads and now the copper pipe isn't seated right ..double check everything for piece of mind !

The odd drip from this pipe is acceptable.

If as you suggest it is running in a constant stream, your injection pump is in need of overhaul.

As the tractor has been standing idle for several months, I would give it a good run to see if that will cure it.

If it is still leaking then it probably requires to be overhauled, in which case you need to remove the injection pump and take it to a firm who specialise in overhauling Diesel injection equipment. The last pump that I had reconditioned cost £270.00 with the VAT!

Further to my previous post I have just had a look at the drawing for the injection pump, the leakage that you are experiencing could be due to the lift pump diaphragm being punctured. In hind sight this is a more likely cause of a continous fuel flow from the pig tail pipe, so you need to strip the lift pump down and examine it. Lift pump repair kits and complete new lift pumps are available.
