Hi,
about two years ago i bought a little Dexta, due to time and money it has been a slow restoration. All the tin work is done and I am in the middle of replacing the head gasket. Now, before painting the last job is the hydralics. I had the top off when I bought it and all looked good but the lever is stuck in the middle of the slider, it wont move an inch and its the last part of the light restoration. Any advice please?
Thanks, Nathan

Re: draft control lever stuck
I had this issue with mine, and I'm afraid it means you're going to have to remove the top cover again!
In my case it was caused by seizure of the pin which the lever attaches to, to the operating lever inside the cover, the only solution was heat, dismantling lubricant and gentle tapping with a hammer.
Afterwards, a good wire brushing and liberal coating of copper grease on re-assembly to prevent a re-occurrence.
