Front Axle Weights

Any thoughts on weighting the front axle of a Super Dexta?
The front end bounces up when the tipping bucket on the back is carrying anything heavy. The front axle has two convenient holes about 1" through each side.
People have suggested hanging an oil drum filled with concrete on the front axle. Other tractors have a bumper bar on which you can hang C-shaped steel weights.
