Tyre Water balasting

Hi, I was wondering if anybody Knows whare I can buy a Valve adaptor to put water in the tyres tubes of my Super Dexta, Also anyone with any experience or ideas of how to stop the water freezing.

Dont do it with water, We do it at my work with another stuff, it works verry well

A lot of people here are using windshield washer fluid for ballast. Its fairly non-corrosive. If you buy the winter blend, it won't freeze to -20F (-29C) and its about 1/6 the price of antifreeze.

The standard substance used to be calcium chloride. The rate was 1cwt disolved in 45gal of water in each wheel. My first jobs when I was first allowed to drive was going round local farms, fitting tyres and pumping them full of balast.

Ah yes, I remember it well :D

Hi, Thanks all for the replys to my post, does anyone know where in the UK, I can buy the adaptor that fits onto the valve to put the water in.
