Super dexta hydraulic pump.

Hi guys, when I put a hydraulic gauge on my aux output I’m reading around 500 PSI. Is that telling me my pump is bad. If not how can I test just the pump. Thanks for any help.
I would say the pump might be worn or have sticking valves, or might just be the pressure relief valve.
