heater/glow plugs
Futher to my post,. The plug as i have explianed burned out. i have now been told the reason for this is these new wet plugs only need to be heated for about 5/ 10 seconds before they fire up , as i was holding the button depressed for about 40 seconds as the dry type orignial plug would be,This led to plug burning out .As the engine is badly worn i think it would probley have been better to get the proper switch and dry plug and go for the orignial set up I think it will be cheaper in the long run , save on plugs . Hope this may help some with the same problem. GERRY

Hi because the switch is so expensive, what I did with mine I went to Maplins and bought a small alarm and cheap toggle switch. I then simply wired the alarm onto the live side of the heater plug to the switch, and the other side of the switch to the ignition switch. When it comes to starting I turn the ignition on,turn the switch on the audible alarm comes on push the plunger and away she starts, then just turn the annoying audible alarm. Hope this helps.
