have a replacment pump i could do with any tips or advice on removal and replacment of pump

I couldn't find a gasket so I made my own from material purchased at auto supply business then used oil-resistant silicone on both sides.

You may find it quite tight to get it pulled of the two dowels, I'd spray the dowels with penetrating oil a day or two before starting (especially if its not been removed in a while)

This is the official method for removing and replacing from the workshop manual.
