Cylinder head skimming & valve clearance

I have just had the cylinder head of my 1961 Dexta skimmed. Obviously I have no idea whether this has been done before - is there any chance that the valves could hit the pistons if the head has been skimmed more than once?

Hi Andy,

The big book says that when new,the depth of the valves in the head, seen from below of course,is between 0.059 and 0.087 in.
Or 1.498 to 2.210 mm.
This may give you an idea whether you're on the safe side.

Good luck!
Rob.
