Hi all,
I am working on a Bristol Crawler for a friend, and it has a Perkins P3 with Simms injector pump and pneumatic governor. What size is it please?

SIMMS injector pump serial number SPE 3A60S 593

Motor serial number, from L/H rear bottom corner 2 GKN 1372

Also it smokes badly but didn't previously when there was a hole in the manifold

I’m thinking the hole was in the intake manifold and if it’s now sealed off, then I suspect that you have a clogged Air intake filter.

Is it a Perkins P3 or a Perkins/Ford mix Fordson Dexta engine? The first might have a timing chain, which in itself can be a cause of lots of smoke.

In both cases it should be 144 cu in, if not rebuilt somewhere in the past. Then 152 cu in liners and pistons might have been fitted.
