Thank you.
I'll undo it before the engine comes off, although I don't think the seal is leaking but my brother wants a new seal while we are doing the engine, looking for an external oil pipe now (to the head)

Landowner,
When I rebuilt my engine I managed to purchase new 90 degree fittings complete with unions and compression fittings and made a replacement oil pipe. For the life of me I have looked for the sizes to give you and cant find them. Im sure I still have an elbow, olives and piping up in my workshop but wont be up there for another 5 weeks as I am due away to work again.
Charlie.

Re: Front pulley on Dexta
Thanks, it would be good to find out the correct threads then maybe make a pipe up from brakepipe.
Next problem is finding a socket to fit the front pulley, any tips on what size it is please.

Re: Front pulley on Dexta
Hi,
Removed the front pulley yesterday while stripping the engine. Did not have the right socket. Should be somewhere around 42 mm in inches. But with a socket who was slightly to big it came off easily. It was that loose that I didn’t need the ratchet, nor needed to stop the crank from turning. This isn’t a good thing, that it is so loose.
Just try, it might come off without hassle.

Re: Front pulley on Dexta
Landowner, The pipework and fittings are standard BSP fittings so you can get the parts quite easily.
If you Google " 1/4" BSP Male Male " there are lots available such as
https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/1945135145?iid ... t0QAvD_BwE.
You might want to change it to Male/Female so you can connect your pipe to it.
Cheers
