been missing for a long time

Post by Brian Cox »

due to various things, i've been missing from the forum.
Tried a number of times to get in, all to no avail.
Thanks to help from Mathais i'm now back.

due to heart trouble, my super dexta never moved from June last year til now. Charged battery but just a clunk when trying to start, tried jump leads from land rover, no different. Thinking electrics expert was needed until a few days later an old friend was passing by (at a distance by the way due to the nasty virus) He used to fiddle about with old cars and instantly said earth is the usual answer. redid the earth connection and away it went
By the way I was using one of these connections you can turn on and off with a plastic wheel. took it off and used earth as normal.
Hope this can be of use to others if the same problem arises.

Brian,

glad your able to login again. It did take some time, but finally it works.
Take care and stay away of the covid virus. While you rediscovered your Dexta, have some fun with it.

Hi Brian, I have the plastic wheel connectors on my Dexta & Major, the're a good thing but i find you have to keep them clean to stop resistance building up.

Hi Brian

Good to see you back, I also have been missing for some time and with lockdown, have been catching up on lots of Dexta jobs!
