I have a question from a friend of mine. What is the thread on the Dexta series?
The Major is UNC / UNF, so I suspect with the Dexta as well, but the engine is made in England. Is it then equipped with Whitworth?

All Major and Dexta parts that could be common are, and all were made in England. The Dexta engine is a Perkins design with Ford modifications and castings.
As for threads I think both are a mix of UNC/UNF and BSW/BSF. Hydraulic threads are BSP. If your friend needs new bolts you could try measuring the pitch, as it's different (1/2 bolts can have 12 and 13 threads per inch).

Henk,

the dexta's parts list will help you with the correct sizes.
I guess most are unc/unf. Withworth are older type of fastners.
