Fordson Super Dexta mysterious part?

Post by IlkkaV »

It was time to fix some oil leaks on my super dexta. Yesterday I removed PTO lever shifter to change "O" ring and founded small part photo (https://ibb.co/k6fCnCk). I wen't through fordson parts manual but I did'n find anywhere that kind of piece. Should be somekind of part which is located somewhere inside the differential housing? Or maybe it's something what earlier owner was dropped there? At same place (https://ibb.co/THqMFGY) I found also ball, which is located top of the spring which is located inside the arm. Spring itself was in correct place. Do anyone have any idea what might be this part and where it should be?

I hope to get some idea before I get all needed spare parts for my Super Dexta!

It's probably part of the detent retainer for the PTO selector.

If spring was in correct position before I opened the cover, should this part to be between spring and ball? Or did I understood correctly?

It could well be a bit dropped in though, as it doesn't fit my parts book either.

Hi,

Isn’t it a bearing roller? Or a lock from a shifter rail?
