ford super dexta serial number

Hi I bought a ford super dexta with the serial number 09C733341 or 090733341.
I cannot find the correct year of construction in the list that I see more often. does anyone have an idea?

09C-733341 is January 1963. To find the engine number look on the LH side of the block just below the front exhaust port on a raised portion, it will be a 16xxxxx type number unless you don't have your original block. You should also look for casting codes on all major castings.

I have just brought a ( I was sold a super dexta 1962 ) I think it’s a dexta 1960

Can you help I haven’t had a chance to wire brush the number yet.can you help please
I think it reads 957E60121 the number is 957E 7005. Engine number looks like 37111310
I have just collected it how do I add photos on here

I have cleaned and found the serial number it’s 09B728549 this I think makes it a super dexta 1962 ?

Your Dexta is indeed a late mid 1960 one, soon before the restyling unless you have flow control, in which case your Dexta would be one of the first restyled Dextas. Look for the engine number and casting codes, the engine number will be 14xxxxx possibly 1460121, but might well not be the case.

Thanks for reply am I right in thinking it isn’t a super dexta with that number
I want to restore to as near original as possible.
If it’s a dexter not super I will have a badge and nose cone for sale

It is indeed a Dexta, no Super Dexta until April 1962.

The engine number is 1616156

1616156 sounds about right, so January 1963. Check the casting codes too to be absolutely sure.
