Dexta Electrical Diagram

Post by duffincart »

Hi
Does anyone have a diagram for dexta wiring that has a five terminal lucas regulator,
F,D,E,A and the extra one (A1) my set up also has light switch and key switch combined.
I think the five terminal is the older regulator. I am not sure if the isolator key switch being separate or combined is the original set up, my dexta is early 1960.
I think i have it sussed using the section 9 electric diagram in the online manual, that has four terminal regulator and separate key sw isolator though.

Kind regards

I've posted the old diagram elsewhere, here's where it came from.

If you use "hotlink for forums" instead of "thumbnail for forums" for posting a pic it will appear full size.

Folk I'm sorry to hijack this post, been a bit dim lately. Please can you confirm for me that the numerals on the RED wires on the diagram eg. #2 from starter motor to solinoid and #3 from coil terminal on cluster switch to other terminal on starter motor? :scratchhead:

Thank you Sandy, sorry another question, is there a diagram for the separate key switch? I am planning on introducing a indipendent switch later on.

Here's the manual with the late diagram near the end.

There's also a service letter describing the new switch, I can post it if needed.

Thank you Sandy, your are such a star, I notice that on the wiring diagram you sent me there is no connection point for the rear lights, however I do have a spare light switch only with all the light connectors, I'm sure the service letter will explain all that. Please I would love a copy of the service letter Sandy.
Regards
Mervyn.

Service letter coming next post I'm afraid.
The side/rear lights and number plate light (and socket) connect to the S.T. terminal on the light switch.
