I am short of the number plate light fitting but do have the opposit side bracket. I was thinking of tracing the bracket that I have and draw in a bulge so that when I cut out a bracket I can fit a light fitting. Any thoughts on that? Maybe the original style of light fitting is not available here at home but that rectangularfitting must be available.

I'll trace and measure my bracket. The original light fitting is still available here in the UK.
cheers

Hi Jerry, a copy of your tracing would be awesome thanks, I'm sure I will find a light here back home.

Thank Jerry,
22 Pounds plus shipping is a bit steep due to the exchange rate. We have an Autozone branch here in town I will give them a call tomorrow, our Sparex branch on the coast might have one on their shelves gathering dust I will also give them a call. Failing that Jerry I will get in touch with you before the end of the month. Thanks again.
Mervyn.

Be careful with repro lights (see this: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6912) you can also see what the RH bracket looks like. If you need more pics I can try to take some of Davie tomorrow.

A similar lamp was used on some versions of the ‘upright’ Ford Pop, I seem to remember.
