Does anyone else on here know if the VIN number used by DVLA to register your tractor is some kind of combination of the engine and chassis number? I have lost the V5 (which I only got last year ) and I am trying to arrange a replacement but the DVLA website isn’t accepting the engine or chassis number.

It should be the serial number, but as it's an old vehicle it might be more complicated.
