1964 Dexta Colour

Post by Ladyluck_1 »

:scratchhead: hey all,
I recently bought myself a 1964 Fordson Dexta it's the earlier of the year model. Some of the paintwork looks lighter on some parts of the tractor than others (particularly the nosecone.) I would like to respray it. My question is. What blue colour is correct???. The Empire or imperial blue. Or was there such a thing as "New Performance" blue? He's clearly had a new front cowling by the owner previous to the owner I bought him from. So he didn't know much himself. He has a "standard" nosecone badge and bonnet stickers. I assume this was correct for what he was. I'm really keen to get him looking so in keeping to what he was. Thanks all.

The colours were NP blue and NP grey, and they're quite different from both the earlier and later colours. I suggest you match some paint to get a good finish, but make sure your Dexta is nice and clean first. The badge is the simple wheatsheaf in NP grey.
